Privacy policy

The Edge Bench is a content site, not a store. We collect as little as possible. Here is exactly what that means.

Last updated: July 19, 2026. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit https://theedgebench.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Edge Bench is operated by Type 5 Marketing LLC.

What we collect

  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It collects standard, largely anonymized data — pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and how you arrived — via cookies and similar technologies. We do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Affiliate click data. When you click a buy link, we record that a click happened (which merchant, which page) so we can understand what readers find useful. Amazon and other retailers may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase; that is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
  • Contact form data. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use it only to reply to you and, if you flag one, to fix an error.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers beyond the analytics and affiliate measurement described above.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them for analytics and to measure affiliate clicks. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Retailers you click through to set their own cookies to credit a purchase.

Third parties

The services that touch your data are Google Analytics (analytics), Amazon and any other retailer you click through to (purchase attribution), Microsoft (which delivers our contact form emails), and our hosting provider. Each has its own privacy policy.

Your choices

  • Use your browser controls or an extension to limit cookies and analytics.
  • Ask us to delete a message you sent us, by emailing info@theedgebench.com.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data we hold about you — contact us and we will help.

Children

The Edge Bench is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
